Gear to Grant is expanding its impact by launching resales on SidelineSwap, a leading online marketplace where athletes buy and sell new and used sports gear at significant discounts. Both organizations share a core belief: quality equipment should stay in play longer, not end up in landfills.

Gear to Grant is a student-led nonprofit that turns donated sports equipment into microgrants that help under-resourced kids cover essentials like uniforms, cleats, and team fees. By adding SidelineSwap as a resale channel, Gear to Grant can reach more buyers for its high-quality used gear, extending the life of items that might otherwise sit in closets, basements, or garages. SidelineSwap’s platform is built to make buying and selling secondhand gear easy and safe, helping families save money while keeping equipment in circulation.​

This partnership-style collaboration aligns two missions: making sports more affordable and making sports more sustainable by reducing waste. Gear to Grant will list donated gear on SidelineSwap, and the proceeds will be reinvested into microgrants that lower pay-to-play barriers for young athletes who need help covering costs like registration fees and uniforms. In other words, every purchase does double duty—giving a second life to sports equipment and giving a kid a better shot at staying in the game.
