WE’RE GROWING
Gear to Grant is expanding access to sports across communities in Minnesota and Arizona, with Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and New Mexico in our 2026–2027 student leadership expansion plans.
Want to help bring Gear to Grant to your community? We’re looking for teen leaders who want to make a difference, grow their leadership skills, and help more kids get the chance to play.
There are two ways to get involved: Champions and Captains.
CHAMPIONS | Youth Leadership Board
The Champions Youth Leadership Board brings together a select group of teen leaders who want to make a bigger impact on youth sports access. Champions help shape Gear to Grant’s programs and growth, share ideas and perspectives from their communities, support partnerships and outreach, and help lead initiatives that expand our impact across the country.
CAPTAINS | Community Leadership Program
Gear to Grant Captains are teen leaders who bring our mission to life in their own communities. Captains organize equipment drives, build local partnerships, support fundraising and outreach, and help connect donated gear and resources with young athletes who need them. Whether Gear to Grant is already active in your area or you want to help bring us to a new community, Captains turn ideas into local action.
Whether you want to help lead Gear to Grant or make an impact in your own community, we’d love to hear from you. Earn verified volunteer service hours through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
