Gear to Grant Is Officially a 501(c)(3)
We’re excited to officially share that earlier this year, Gear to Grant received recognition as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!
Gear to Grant started with a simple idea: help make sports more accessible by putting unused sports equipment back into play and turning community support into opportunities for young athletes.
Receiving our 501(c)(3) status is an important step forward.
As a 501(c)(3), donations made to Gear to Grant are tax-deductible. Our nonprofit status also opens the door to additional grants, charitable funding, corporate support, and partnerships that can help us expand our impact.
For Gear to Grant, that means greater opportunities to collect and redistribute sports equipment, provide grants to youth sports organizations, and support programs that help more kids experience the joy of sports.
Most importantly, becoming a 501(c)(3) gives us more ways to pursue our mission:
Helping kids get the chance to step onto the field, the court, or the track and chase their potential.
We are grateful to every person, organization, coach, family, and young athlete who has been part of Gear to Grant so far. Every equipment donation, gear drive, partnership, and conversation has helped us grow.
And we’re excited for what comes next.
Every kid deserves the opportunity to play.
